Pierre Cordier fotógrafo belga
Pierre Cordier es un fotógrafo belga (nacido el 28 de enero de 1933 en Bruselas) que realiza quimigramas, imágenes en papel fotográfico obtenidas combinando técnicas pictóricas con la acción de productos químicos. En 1952 tuvo un encuentro importante en su vida con George Brassens, que le animó a seguir “Un camino inexplorado y lleno de obstáculos”.
Inventado en noviembre de 1956, el quimigrama combina la física de la pintura (barniz, cera, óleo) y la química de la fotografía (emulsión fotosensible, revelador, fijador); sin el aparato fotográfico, sin ampliadora y a plena luz. Precursores de esta técnica son los fotogramas de László Moholy-Nagy o los rayogramas de Man Ray. Abandonó completamente la fotografía en 1967 para consagrarse exclusivamente al quimigrama.
